Description

Radiological, chemical, and biological hazards are often invisible and difficult to detect visually, making them a significant threat to the safety of both civilians and workers at accident sites. To ensure the protection of those around an accident site, it is essential to check for residual gases and other potential hazards in the air.

Safe Up is an innovative hazard indicator that provides visual information about the danger state of an accident site from a safe distance. After being dropped from the air in a form of a capsule, it reaches the land and inflates the balloon that was compressed inside the container. The surface of the balloon is made of Chaemeleon CMF, which reacts with materials in the air to detect density and changes color to indicate the level of danger. Red means danger, orange means warning, and green means safe. By doing so SAFEUP is designed to enable the user to avoid direct contact with the hazardous matters. SAFEUP recognizes radiological, biological and chemical threat and along with the three stages of color-code, the universal icons that represents each hazards allows the user to understand what kind of danger they are facing, and take appropriate action, such features are effective on emergency to evacuate civilians with the benefit of its direct and easy - to - read contents.
